Title: How Does a Laser Printer Engine Work? And 2/3 of the video is about why you shouldn't use bootleg toners..
Toner is the key technology. Unfortunately fake toner is the number one killer of laser printers.
Excellent job breaking it down so quick! Best information I've seen so far!
Glad it was helpful! Everything in this video is still true today.
price
great job thanks for your help and confirmation. Thank you
You are so welcome Mike.
Basic home use: Laser- works. Inkjet- clogs.
Now if we can just make that rhyme...
I have a DLP projector and i love it. But I think that the 3LCD is better for projecting text. In my opinion, the text from the 3LCD is much sharper, DLP is better for movies.
The DLP has better contrast which you'd think would make reading easier. Maybe it's a brightness issue.
This was very useful thank you.
Glad to hear!
how about the concern over laser printer emissions? any info to share?
Minimal ozone emissions during printing (which are mostly filtered out). It has not been an issue as people originally feared... 30+ years ago
Problem I have had with inkjet is if you don't constantly print stuff it seems to have problems like blurred text which I have experienced on 2 different printers. I don't do photos so I am buying a laser.
Inkjets are not automatically better photo printers unless they use more that 4 colors
Thank you for your video it's nice shorts sweets not complicated and it helps me a lot thank you again
You’re welcome 😊
Excellent video. Do you have an updated video for 11x17 color laser printers in 2020/21?
Not yet! We're firing up the cameras soon though
Ink Printer are a SCAM!!!!!!
I would agree that people making low end consumer inkjets are not your friends, but the high-end large format inkjet printers are much better. Of course they cost more than laser printers
This video is a big money saver for many households. I've bought colour laser printer as a Christmas present for a relative so they stop being ripped off for ink.
They are fortunate to have a thoughtful relative like you!
e
Thank you.
You're welcome!
That's good.👍👍👍
Many many thanks
All the generic Chinese projectors use lcd don’t buy them Dlp for projectors
Is there anything good that is generic Chinese?
Thanks, very informative.
You're welcome!
Thank you
You're welcome
Are there any laser printers that print with more than four colors (cmyk) like an ink-jet? This is a great video.
Nope. 4-color is it for lasers (there is an OKI that will print white but that is more for printing on colored paper)
Good video bro helped alot😀
Glad to hear it!
I finally bit the bullet and got a colour laser. My only regret is not doing it sooner, but it's only in the last couple of years that high-capacity cartridge machines are at a reasonable price. The reliability is fantastic - no clogs, very few jams, high quality at high speed, long life toner and no mechanical failures of the paper feed mechanism after a few weeks in service...
I'm amazed at how many people keep buying inkjets to replace their inkjets.
@@printershowcase yeah it's a treadmill of broken parts. I finally had enough when a high end Epson failed after a few weeks due to the feed rollers somehow becoming disattached. Inkjets are only good for photos on photo paper, best with 6+ ink rather than 4 Epson have a lot of professional photo printers but I don't need to print photos. The colour laser can do a reasonable job of the few photos I need to print. I just wish I could afford an A3 colour laser though! Those babies are expensive as well as heavy.
what's the temperature used to make toner particles on the paper in fuesr?
It varies depending on the engine. Usually around 400 degrees C
@@printershowcase thank you
Wow woe you jus explained it so well within 3:38 minutes. Thank you.
Glad it was helpful!
At last, someone explained it clearly.
I can't wait to see DLP flat panel UHDTVs.
Didn't know that was a thing but it sure sounds cool!
@@printershowcase DLP HDTVs were rear projection back then, but flat panel LED is the new wave.
You just summed up the five hours of research I did this week. lol. Good job!
If nothing else I verified your research so you're welcome
@@printershowcase you certainly did. Just wish I found your video earlier! :)
it was really good and understand the major concepts
Props RAZORBEND
Thanks Robert. You may be in the minority but I'm with you!
Toner cartridges = $$$$$
Not all lasers or toners are created equal and also ink cartridges are not free last I checked. However, you do you Brent and thanks for the comment.
Good simple explainer. 👍
Glad it was helpful!
epson
this is the best vedio about the comparison between them ! you convinced me easliy !!
Just facts my friend.
Please leave my family alone
Huh?
The next time I get a printer, I will remember to get laser. Thanks so much!
You bet!
Sounds like half life music lol
Not sure if that's good or bad but the music is original.
@@printershowcase No, it's a good thing, to me at least. the music is good, and so is the rest of the video.
Fuser feal massage rept and rept
But how laser and rotating mirror knows where to focus beam and how laser creat or distroy charge ?
The controller creates the image, the rotating mirror just rotates, the laser is stationary but will turn on and off as directed by the controller, and the drum rotates at it's fixed rate. The drum is recharged by the transfer charge each revolution.
1:00 you just explend something unique
After 6 years, with the advancement of technology, the application has become more widespread. The laser engraver creates readable marks by generating a visual contrast between the text and the background. It does so through two methods: change of color or change in specular reflection. Machine laser can also perform more than just engraving; they can also do ablation (etching ), annealing, color change (carbonization/bleaching), and, foaming.www.heatsign.com/products/laser-marking-machine/
I think you're talking about a different type of laser used for etching. This is strictly for laser printers.
Love it
Answer is easy: if you suffer from the rainbow effect, then go for the 3LCD technology.
It is very interesting how only some people see it.
@@printershowcase I see rainbow only briefly when glance away from screen but only on some projectors but still prefer DLP better blacks better contrast and less screen door effect
Very honest. Plus everything he said was true.
No lie!
I found that photo printing is awful on a laser where the flesh tones are too red but a $25,000 laser printer can print as good as an inkjet. Must be the gamut engine or something. I rarely cared about printing a photograph for I found it better to leave the photo on your cellphone and share it electronically or go to a printshop for selected prints. I like the graphics and illustration print quality of a laser.
It will vary greatly from one laser printer to another and there are color profiles and adjustments you can make. I've seen great looking flesh tones from laser printers that are as good or better than four color inkjets especially on plain paper. Having said that I agree that it's probably not a great idea to be printing your own photos. It's time consuming and expensive. Unless you're a pro photographer you're better off using a photo printing service.
@@printershowcase My work has a professional grade color laser which is very expensive and it can print excellent photographs. I don't think any consumer grade laser can make it happen.
*Workhorse. Great.⋄⋄>**share4.photo/HpLaserPrint?я** Use it all the time. Also supports good security options for a networked printer with access control and encryption if you have it on a network where you don't want everyone to use it or see what is being printed.*
I have a b&w laser printer and a color inkjet printer... unfortunately I need to keep the inkjet printer, because it has a built in scanner. Otherwise I can't use it anymore... the tanks are full, but the ink won't come out. (even after cleaning the heads) The laser printer however keeps printing and printing. Even after it gathered dust for 3 months, I clean it up, connect it and ready to go!
Lcos is best technology
Dilip, Tell me Why?
@@printershowcase because it has technology of both worlds DLP and LCD. Actually 3 chip DLP technology is best. LCoS is primarily made by Sony
explain surprisingly well
a picture is worth a thousand words
Came for the Printer knowledge, stayed for the awesome jams!!! 🤘🤘🤘
Rock and roll!
No pun intended.
I am a color laser man. If I need to do something fancy (Large, high quality colors, special media) with images, there are online services to print that for me.
You are wise David.
